Dartmouth College’s famous Outing Club and the Appalachian Mountain Club of the early 20th century combined a love for winter and the mountains with a desire to slide fast on snow. As racing evolved from its initial North American origins on Mt. Moosilauke, New Hampshire to the world’s first alpine combined event of slalom and downhilll in the Alberg in 1928 passion, style, and technique have fueled skiing’s storied history of legends and legendary races.
